This unique American business story begins in Wichita, Kansas in 1921. "Billy" Ingram and Walter Anderson opened the first White Castle restaurant, (VISIT OUR PARENT COMPANY) selling steam-grilled hamburgers for 5 cents each. The company opened on $700 of borrowed capital, which was repaid in 90 days.
White Castle required custom designed equipment for cooking and storage not only because it was the first fast food hamburger chain, but also because the hamburgers had a distinctive form and taste. To ensure specifications were met, Ingram designed and oversaw the manufacture of most of the stainless steel fixtures used in his restaurants. In 1934, he formed PSB Company as a separate division.
As time passed, PSB became so proficient in manufacturing that the company began soliciting outside jobs, adding assembly line production and powder painting capabilities. PSB's attention to detail and craftsmanship attracted major industrial customers, such as appliance, lawn equipment, automotive and building component suppliers.
The demand for excellence from these high end customers further increased PSB's production skills. Today, PSB can handle your job whether it is a one time custom production run or a long term continuous operation. Capabilities include sheet metal fabrication, e-coating, welding, powder painting, assembly, packaging, storage and shipping.
PSB, a company that grew out of the needs of others, is operated with the same financially responsible principles as its parent company. Quality, integrity, and performance are an integral part of our business. |
